Details of the new iPhone 15 have been leaked ahead of its launch on September 12
In the aftermath of Apple’s announcement that the iPhone 15 series will launch on September 12, it is natural for rumors to still be circulating. The latest comes from renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has shared some details regarding the iPhone 15 colors and production. Here are the details.
According to Kuo, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will be available in gray, white, black, and blue colors, which doesn’t sound very exciting. This year’s iPhone 15 Pro doesn’t mention any special color, so I assume it might be the rumored blue with a hint of grey. This means we might not get the gold color as rumored.
The titanium-like finish could be the reason why the iPhone 15 Pro will be lighter than its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro. This suggests that the much-rumored gold colorway might not be available for the Pro version of the new model. On the other hand, speculation indicates that usual vibrant colors such as black, pink, yellow, blue and green could make it to both the normal and Plus models of iPhone 15.
As a result, the rumored production issue (of the iPhone 15 Pro), primarily caused by the stacking CIS and the titanium frame, has been resolved and shipments may not be delayed. Although, the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s mass production began late, so, we might not see a lot of units and its sale might be delayed. This has been suggested for a while.
Other than these details, we have some idea of what to expect. There will be a few changes with the iPhone 15 series, including the addition of a USB Type-C port, Dynamic Island, and 48MP main camera on all models, as well as some design changes and upgrades. There will also be a new Apple Watch Series 9.
To find out what Apple will serve on our plates this year, it’s best to wait until the launch, which takes place in a few days. Stay tuned as we will cover everything in real time.
