In a closely watched contest for the chance to challenge Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown, Cleveland businessman Bernie Moreno clinched the Republican nomination, defeating state Sen. Meanwhile, in Ohio’s 9th Congressional District, Merrin emerged victorious after receiving Trump’s endorsement, navigating a crowded field of candidates and overcoming internal party conflicts. Merrin’s win positions him as a formidable contender against Kaptur, the longest-serving woman in Congress.
