Delta Air Lines is gearing up to offer its most extensive winter ski schedule ever, beginning December 21, 2024. This expansion includes an increased number of flights from Los Angeles and robust service to premier U.S. ski destinations from Minneapolis, Atlanta, and Salt Lake City. This development is a significant update for travelers planning their winter vacations, providing more options and greater accessibility to top ski resorts.

Delta’s latest schedule represents a nearly 10% increase in seat capacity compared to last year. The winter lineup features a comprehensive schedule out of Los Angeles (LAX), where Delta will introduce daily nonstop flights to Jackson Hole (JAC) and new Saturday service to Sun Valley, Idaho (SUN). Additionally, travelers from Minneapolis, Atlanta, and Salt Lake City will benefit from increased service to several iconic ski destinations.

Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning, highlighted the airline’s commitment to providing essential connections from its hubs. “Delta is creating essential connections from our growing hub and state-of-the-art facilities in Los Angeles and across the U.S. to bring premier ski resorts within easy reach this winter,” Esposito said. “With our latest winter schedule, customers have more choices than ever, with up to 190 weekly flights to places our customers want to fly to most, paired with the premium services and amenities our customers always enjoy.”

Enhanced Services from Los Angeles (LAX)
This winter, Delta’s ski schedule out of LAX will see a 25% increase in seat capacity. In addition to daily flights to Jackson Hole and year-round Aspen service, Delta will reintroduce daily flights to Bozeman (BZN) and Vail (EGE), along with new Saturday service to Sun Valley. These destinations promise exciting winter sports and scenic beauty.

Travelers will experience seamless journeys through Delta’s state-of-the-art Sky Way at LAX. Terminal 3, a 1.2-million-square-foot, 27-gate complex, features a centralized check-in lobby, expanded security checkpoint, and an award-winning Delta Sky Club. Delta One customers enjoy exclusive check-in areas, private TSA screening lanes, and direct access to the Delta Sky Club. Additionally, eligible customers can use Delta Digital ID at LAX for hands-free bag check and security.

Delta is doubling down on winter fun for travelers from Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP). This season, the airline will resume service to Steamboat Springs, Colorado (HDN), and Jackson Hole, both operating daily during the holiday period, expanding from Saturday-only service in 2023. Year-round flights to Bozeman (BZN) also continue, ensuring access to this mountain retreat throughout the year.

Delta Sky Club members traveling through MSP can relax and recharge at the airline’s third Club, which opened in spring 2023. This new addition offers more than 21,000 square feet of premium space, making it the largest Delta Sky Club at the Minneapolis hub.

Expanded Services from Atlanta (ATL) and Salt Lake City (SLC)
From Atlanta (ATL), Delta’s largest hub, customers can look forward to more opportunities to explore Bozeman with a second daily flight. Delta also offers daily flights from Atlanta to a variety of other ski destinations, including Aspen, Vail, Steamboat Springs, Montrose/Telluride (MTJ), and Jackson Hole. With year-round service to Aspen, customers can enjoy alpine adventures anytime.

In Salt Lake City (SLC), Delta’s daily flights to Bozeman, Jackson Hole, and Sun Valley offer access to some of the nation’s most breathtaking slopes. Delta’s presence in SLC has grown significantly, highlighted by the launch of a 900,000-square-foot Concourse A in 2020. The concourse features 19 new restaurants and shops, along with 50 Delta gates, with more to come by 2027.

The Delta Sky Club in Salt Lake City provides scenic mountain views, featuring an expansive 28,000-square-foot lounge, a covered open-air Sky Deck with vistas of the Wasatch Range, and a central 360-degree fireplace.
