How Emirates’ New Daily Service to Bogotá Enhances South American Connectivity

Emirates has achieved a major milestone in its South American expansion with the inauguration of its first daily service to Bogotá. With the addition of this new route, Emirates now serves 19 locations throughout the Americas, with Bogotá being its fourth South American destination. Celebrations greeted the first flight, EK213 from Miami, at El Dorado International Airport.

Passengers on the first flight were welcomed by traditional Colombian dancers at gate A14, setting a festive tone. Distinguished guests, including His Excellency Luis Miguel Merlano Hoyos, Colombian Ambassador to the UAE, and His Excellency Mohamed Alshamsi, UAE Ambassador to Colombia, participated in a cake-cutting ceremony and symbolic gift exchange. The event also featured Sergio Paris Mendoza, Director General of Aeronáutica Civil de Colombia, and Natali Leal, OPAIN General Manager.

Driving the celebrations were Emirates administrators, Nabil Sultan, Official Bad Habit President of Traveler Deals and Nation Administration, and Salem Obaidalla, Senior Bad Habit President of Commercial Operations—Americas. Universal Media joined from Dubai and Miami, in conjunction with Scott Lantz, Zone Chief for Mexico and Colombia, and different dignitaries from Colombia.

The day-by-day benefit to Bogotá works through Miami, utilizing a Boeing 777 airship. Emirates is presenting first-class services on this course, to begin with for any carrier between Miami and Bogotá. The Boeing 777-300ER flying machine highlights a three-class setup with eight private suites To begin with the lesson, there are 42 lie-flat seats in the Trade Course and 304 open seats in the Economy Course.

Nabil Sultan communicated energy from almost the unused course, highlighting Bogotá’s significance as both a relaxation and commerce goal. He emphasized the unused flights’ part in upgrading exchange and showcasing between Colombia and the UAE. Sergio Paris Mendoza lauded the association as a critical step for inbound tourism and exchange between Colombia and the Middle East.

Natali Leal welcomed Emirates to El Dorado International Airport, underscoring the airport’s position as a key air terminal in Latin America and a gateway to Colombia.

Emirates’ daily flight EK213 departs Dubai at 0215 hours, arriving in Miami at 1005 hours, before continuing to Bogotá. The return journey also offers convenient timing, ensuring seamless connections for passengers.

The partnership between Emirates and Avianca, established through a recent codeshare agreement, enhances connectivity for travelers flying between Dubai and Colombia. This partnership provides access to three points within Colombia, offering greater travel flexibility.

Emirates is committed to providing superior inflight and on-ground services. Passengers on the Miami-Bogotá route will enjoy enhanced comfort, regionally-inspired dining, and world-class entertainment, ensuring a memorable travel experience.

Additionally, the Boeing 777-300ER offers significant cargo capacity, supporting Colombian exports to global markets. This service underscores Emirates’ commitment to fostering trade links and economic ties between Colombia and the UAE.

With this new route, Emirates connects Colombians to a global network of over 140 destinations. This expansion reaffirms the airline’s commitment to delivering world-class service to passengers worldwide.

Passengers traveling between Dubai and Bogotá must comply with U.S. entry regulations and hold the required documents due to immigration procedures in Miami. Under reciprocal visa arrangements, Colombian and UAE citizens can enjoy visa-free entry for up to 90 days in Dubai and Bogotá, respectively.
